I’m Jim. I’m a 24 year old guy from Seattle married to an amazing woman and the love of my life, Jen. We met at and are a part of a church that we love, and we feel very fortunate to be where we’re at.

We’re not millionaires, and we don’t have a luxurious home, but we’ve come to realize we don’t need those things to enjoy our lives. And our hope is that by not indulging in those things, we can retire comfortable and early.

My Story

Both Jen (my wife), and I work 40 hour a week jobs at The Boeing Company. Our jobs are great - we’re paid well, we carpool together, we eat lunch together, you couldn’t ask for more. But we’re getting ready to start a family, and I want my wife, if she wants, to be able to stay home full time once we have a baby. My goal is to find a way to supplement her income without having to work 80 hours a week, becuase I like my wife, and I want to raise my child(ren) with her.

What I needed was a way to make money without having to spend hours away from my family. I began researching different ways to earn passive income, and I wanted to utilize the internet in building these revenue streams.

After reading about Pat Flynn’s journey after being layed off, I realized this was the route I wanted to go. And I knew that like anything that’s going to be successful, it needs time. So even though Jen is still working, I’m going to start my venture into blogging now with the hope that I can have substantial web revenue 12 to 24 months from now.

Earn Web Revenue is my journey into building a foundation for making money with a blog. This is not a way to get rich quick (I haven’t found that yet). Instead, I want to find a variety of ways to earn steady sources of income online.

Although my end goal is to make money supplementing my wife’s income, I’m not going to make that my first priority - I believe that is a broken business model. There are thousands of website out there trying to make money without offering people anything. My hope is that you, too, can learn from my mistake and accomplishments. I want your spouse to be able to stay home with your newborn child, and I want you to live a lifestyle that doesn’t tear you away from your family to make money. If I ever compromise you, my readers, for money on this site please call me out on it.

Being transparent about my intent and open about what I do is going to help you be successful too. And when we’re both successful, I believe the revenue streams will flow.
